Md. Mortuza Khaled is the
Executive Director of ICDS and a seasoned development professional with
extensive experience in the NGO sector. Over the years, he has demonstrated
strong leadership in managing development programs, ensuring good governance,
and promoting financial sustainability. He has a proven track record in
building and sustaining effective partnerships both within ICDS and with
external stakeholders.
Prior to joining ICDS,
Mr. Khaled served as a Zonal Coordinator at Proshika,
one of Bangladesh’s leading non-government organizations, where he worked with
dedication and integrity for over 10 years. He also served as a District LCBCE
Officer in Bhola under a joint Government of Bangladesh–UNICEF project,
contributing significantly to local capacity building and community
empowerment.
Mr. Khaled is
actively engaged in various national networks and alliances working towards the
inclusive achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In
recognition of his leadership and commitment, he was elected as Vice-President
of the Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB), Bhola district, in 2024.
Furthermore, he is currently serving as the Secretary of ADAB (Association of
Development Agencies in Bangladesh), Bhola district, for the tenure from
December 2025 to December 2027.
In addition to his
professional achievements, Mr. Khaled has contributed to academic research. His
research work titled “Study on Knowledge
and Attitude Towards Child Marriage Among Secondary Level Learners in Bhola
District” reflects his strong commitment to evidence-based development
practices, particularly in addressing social issues such as child marriage.
Mr. Khaled holds a
Master’s degree in Mass Communication & Journalism from the University of
Rajshahi. He also earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Bangladesh Open
University, further strengthening his expertise in public health and community
development.
